Policies & Procedures

Cancellation Policy:

Guests must provide 48 hours' notice in the event of a cancellation. If a cancellation occurs outside of the 48-hour window, the guest will be charged one night's stay, at the booked room’s rate.

Early Departure Policy:

Guests who check out of their room prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an” Early Departure Fee” of 50% of the unused nights.

Non-smoking/Drug free Facility:

Lakeview Lodge is a non-smoking and drug-free facility. We do not allow smoking of any kind in rooms or on balconies. Guest who smoke in their room will be charged a $50 or more smoking fee for additional cleaning and possible replacement of linens that smell of smoke. Any drug paraphernalia found in rooms during cleaning or after check out will be reported to the proper authorities and a report will be made. 

Bicycle Policy

For our guests who have bicycles, we kindly ask that bicycles not be taken into the rooms. Unfortunately, we no longer allow bicycles in rooms due to ripped and heavily soiled bedding and carpets, and improper use of sinks and bathtubs for bicycle cleaning purposes.  

We have two bike racks on the premises (we do not provide locks) as well as a covered carport where bikes can be parked. If you prefer a more secure location, please inquire about locking your bicycles in our shed under the carport. 

We kindly ask that you please not use Lodge bath and handtowels to clean bikes, if a bike cleaning is needed our lobby will happily provide cleaning rags upon request. 

We understand that this is a new policy for our guests who are long-time riders of the trail however, damages to bedding, walls, and bathrooms have become increasingly worse. 

We thank you for your understanding in this matter. 

Our new owners and managers are working hard to provide a better storage option in the near future. Please be patient as we make all the necessary updates and repairs needed to make Lakeview Lodge an even more enjoyable place to stay. 

Pet Policy:

                                  Pet-Friendly Hotel Policy and Procedures

The Lakeview Lodge is a pet-friendly hotel that understands that pets are an extension of your family. We are pleased to welcome you and your furry companion as our guests! In order to ensure that all hotel Guests have an enjoyable experience, please carefully review the pet policies listed below.

The pet fee is a non-refundable amount of $50 per pet, per night.
● I understand that there are only 2 pets allowed per guest room(designated pet friendly rooms only) 
● My pet's vaccinations are up to date and he/she is free of fleas and ticks.
● My pet is not aggressive and is well-socialized with other pets and Guests.
● I agree to clean up after my pets and properly dispose of any waste.
● My pet(s) will be with me, on a leash, and under my care at all times while outside of the room.
● I understand that a non-refundable pet fee will be charged at check-in for post-departure deep cleaning. I further understand that this fee does not include any additional charges that may result from damage or the need for excessive cleaning of soiled linens, carpeting, or furniture.
● I understand that I, the owner, accept any legal and/or financial responsibility for any injury occurrence to other Lodge Guests or to myself.
● I understand that my pet(s) can not be left unattended at any time, while on the Lodge property.
● As the pet owner/caretaker, I am liable for any disturbances my pet(s) cause Guests staying at the Lodge. (Guests will be given an opportunity to eliminate any disturbance or noise complaints. In the event you are unable to eliminate any disturbances in a timely manner, you may be asked to leave the Lodge without a refund and will be financially responsible for any and all costs associated with compensation given to disturbed guests.)

                                                       Room Cleaning Policy

 

For any reservation longer than five (5) days, Lakeview Lodge requires a once a week cleaning and room check  to be completed by housekeeping.

Cleaning will consist of fresh bedding, towels, and  trash removal.Guest can request a complete cleaning with reception two days prior to requested cleaning date. 

 

Lakeview Lodge does not conduct daily room cleaning. Guests are welcome to request fresh towels or toiletries with reception, as needed. 

 

 

                                                           Room Damage Policy

 

    DAMAGE AND / OR THEFT OF HOTEL PROPERTY: You are liable for any damage howsoever caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room(s), hotel’s premises or property caused by you or any person in your party, whether or not staying at the hotel during your stay. Lakeview Lodge reserves the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details, and charge or debit the credit/debit card such amounts as it shall, at its sole discretion, deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by Lakeview Lodge as a result of the aforesaid. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right, and you hereby authorize us, to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

 

DAMAGE DISCOVERED AFTER CHECK-OUT: Guest Rooms found with waste scattered around, in complete disorder, and/or “trashed” will be subject to a $500.00-1,000.00 maintenance deep cleaning fee, administration fee and/or third party fees, depending on severity.

 

     DAMAGE TO ROOM: Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, bedding,  artwork, etc. will be charged at 150% of full and new replacement or repair value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or wilful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.

 

 

 

                                                                  Lost and Found

 

LOST & FOUND POLICY: Lakeview Lodge assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately (208) 689- 9789 or email reservations.lakeviewlodge@gmail.com and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item.

 

FOUND ITEMS: Lakeview Lodge is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. However, any item, with the exception of perishable items, left behind by our guests and found after departure by Housekeeping will be collected, logged in, and kept in a secure location for collection by the owner for up to thirty (30) days. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the guest that an item has found. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries will be discarded.

 

RETURN: We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you. Your credit card will be charged packaging and postage, plus a 25% handling fee. A separate receipt will be mailed to you. Lakeview Lodge is not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment.

 

UNCLAIMED ITEMS / NO CONTACT: Lost & Found items are held for thirty (30) days while we attempt to contact the guest. If guest contact information is incorrect or mobile phone mailbox is full and we are unable to contact the guest during the thirty (30) day holding period, the unclaimed item(s) are thrown away, given to local organizations, or disposed of accordingly by Lakeview Lodge.

Check-in, Check-out & Charges

Check-in: 

Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. If you would like early check-in, you may contact reception on the day of your expected arrival and request early check-in. If the room is available, we will gladly allow for early check-in at no additional cost. 

At  time of check-in we will place an authorized hold on your credit card on file. This is simply to verify funds. These funds will not be deducted, just held as pending until check-out. 

Check-out: 

Check-out is at 11:00 am. Please check out with reception before departing and bring your keys back to the lobby. You may request late check-out if that is an option for your room. This will depend on whether or not we have someone arriving upon your departure. Late departure is at 1:00 pm. 

Your credit card on file will be charged, and funds will be deducted at time of check-out.
