The Lakeview Lodge overlooks the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes.

This popular trail was completed in 2004 and provides for a 72 mile paved bike and recreation trail that runs between Plummer and Mullan, Idaho. The trail follows the historic Union Pacific rail route established in 1890’s to run supplies up; and ore down from the thriving Silver Valley Mining District. You will travel through forested glens, lake side vistas and meandering rivers as you explore this region rich in nature, geology, and history. Fall colors along the Rails to Trails system are ablaze with aspen, poplar, cottonwood, maples and tamaracks.

Moor your boat in Harrison's Public Marina

There is no charge for multiple day stays and there are tie ups for boats of all sizes. The public swimming beach is protected from boats and offers diving and swimming for all ages.

Local waterways offer great boating opportunities. Harrison is located at the mouth of the Coeur d’Alene and St. Joe Rivers. Water sports of all kinds are the order of the day.

The Silver Valley

The Silver Valley calls out in any season, but in winter, Silver Mountain really shines. Country Club Sking is less than 1 hour away. Enjoy un-crowded slopes, great groomers, light powder, treed glades or the challenging terrain park. Stay on the Lake, Ski in the Mountains. Summer 2007 Silver Mountain resort will open its new Water Park. We look forward to this great addition to the many attractions located in the Silver Valley.

Wildlife & Nature

The Lakeview Lodge can be your base of operations as you explore all that the area has to offer. In the off season, Bird Watchers will not be disappointed. The area offers seasonal variety. Early winter, offers Bald Eagles as they feed on the spent sockeye. Late winter, the migration begins, white snow geese will serenade you each morning as the sun plays off the melting waterways. Spring brings the Osprey nesting and raising their chicks. Lone herons are year round residents
